On the branch header, we hung fake leaves and fake torches made with baskets by the MembersAlliance sign. On the floor, we placed WELCOME TO MACU WORLD.
On our teller line counter, we used moss, toy dinosaurs and jeeps; netting covered our teller line windows. We stood a huge, dinosaur cutout on our teller line counter. Dinosaur foot prints and caution tape were used on the teller line
In the teller area, we created a large cage from black construction paper chains, and used grey yarn to make it look like an electric fence. Inside the cage, we added a dinosaur head sticking out of the wall and paper mache dinosaur eggs and a dinosaur baby. We created a fake tree with streamers. We also hung 3 different colored green tablecloths on the one wall, tons of fake leaves from the ceiling and green Christmas lights.
We made the main office area look like a dinosaur lab. We incorporated dinosaur posters, wall stickers, books, dinosaurs in glasses, torches, and a dinosaur in a bird cage hung from the ceiling.
The Assistant’s desk had a cutout jeep on the front of it, a pterodactyl hanging above, a volcano with electric fans operating to make it look like it was erupting. Leaves were on the cabinets and raptor heads peaked out from behind them.
Everyone dressed up like a Jurassic World/Park character. We had Owen, Claire, Dr. Malcolm, Dr. Wu, John Hammond, a blow up T-Rex costume, and Blue’s costume.
We had our “Can You Guess?” sign out. The two questions were used:
- How fast could a T-Rex run? (17 mph, 52 mph, or 27 mph)
- How many teeth did the T-Rex have? (90, 60, or 110)
Our goal was to work together as a team and meet as many of our monthly goals as possible. If the branch met at least three out of our four goals, we would have a pizza party. As a bonus, if at least two people meet three of their own personal goals, they would be entered into a drawing for a full day off with pay.
Sadly, we had a really slow month and were unable to meet our goals. However, people loved our decorations and we created a lot of interest.
