Using a gingerbread house theme, we decorated the entire branch with candy and gingerbread men/women.
The staff played Candyland. Each employee who talked to members or shoppers about the holiday promotion was allowed to draw one card and move their player on the game board.
During our aisle walks, the staff handed out gingerbread cookies along with business cards and told shoppers to stop by and see us if they needed extra dough for the holidays.
“Greetings, Price Chopper Shoppers! This is _________ with Collins Community Credit Union. Do you need some extra dough for your holiday expenses? Stop by the front of the store and speak to one of our Member Service Consultants about our Holiday Loans. Hurry in! Offer expires 12/31/19.”
“Greetings, Price Chopper Shoppers! This is ________ with Collins Community Credit Union. It’s time to turn your gingerbread house into a gingerbread home with our No-Closing-Cost Home Equity Loans. Stop by and speak to a Member Service Consultant about how you can qualify today.”
Our goal was to get at least $150,000 in new loans for home equities and personal loans together for the branch.
We ended at $147,980 for the actual total, just shy of reaching the goal. We saw an increase in personal loan applications and Home Equity Loans as a result of the promotion.
