Dianne Basset, Branch Manager of Bank of Morgan County’s Wal-Mart in-store branch, and her team host an annual “Holiday Meet & Greet” each Christmas to express their appreciation to current customers and to provide an opportunity to mingle with shoppers. The branch staff and several Wal-Mart employees make homemade appetizers and sweet treats for those in attendance. Leading up to the event, customers and shoppers were given opportunities to complete a brief registration card that was used for various door prize drawings.
Ms. Basset made the festive holiday aprons that she and her colleagues wore during this event. While conducting aisle time, each associate passed out holiday shopping lists to shoppers after making a personal connection. The Wal-Mart shoppers responded well to their time in the aisles. The overall event was a successful business development event.
