Testimonial—Youth Accounts

I took away that we should make sure we’re comfortable when we approach people, both with the people we’re approaching and what we plan to discuss. I thoroughly enjoy children and I’ve familiarized myself with our Youth Program, so I walked up to a pair of women with 2 children in the clothes section. We started talking, would up talking about youth accounts and the financial education we offer, and I gave them some business cards for them and their family. One of their kids really likes Willy Wonka, and thought that I was giving the parents “Golden Tickets.” He of course wanted one, so I gave him a “Golden Ticket,” too. I shared this story with my manager and she loved the idea of giving kids Golden Tickets, so now I’m planning a Willy Wonka themed promotion aimed at opening youth accounts.
